Want to watch those VIDEO_TS files you've ripped from your DVDs? Matinee allows you to do this very easily, whilst offering a colorful interface reminiscent of the Apple TV.
Once Matinee is launched, you'll have to search through your hard drives to select where your VIDEO_TS files are stored. It's important to keep them all in the same folder as this will allow Matinee to browse through them quickly, thanks to those green back and forward arrows on the main window.
Matinee can also display movie covers for your VIDEO_TS files.
Matinee can work in conjunction with MactheRipper, which will take care of extracting the VIDEO_TS files from your DVDs.
You can also decide to use the Mix button to shuffle your videos a bit and play them in random order. We quite liked the fact that Matinee can show your DVD controls and display videos in full screen, effectively turning it into a proper movie player.
